The service

PIVERS is a product integrity and verification platform operated for PIACAN. PIVERS is not a regulator, and nothing on PIVERS replaces instructions from a responsible authority.

What a result means

• A matched record means a code belongs to a published PIVERS record. It does not by itself prove that an item is genuine, safe or approved by a regulator.
• A code with no matching record is not a finding that a product is counterfeit.
• Applicable recalls and notices are always shown before any positive information.
• If PIVERS cannot get current information, it says so instead of showing a result.

Acceptable use

Don’t submit false reports, attempt to guess or harvest codes, overload the service or try to access records you are not authorised to see. Automated lookups are rate-limited, and business API access requires a key.

Business participants

Organisations must provide accurate information and evidence, may issue codes only for products they are authorised to represent, and must respond to concerns about their products. Payment or partnership never changes a result, notice or investigation.

AI assistance

AI assistance, when available, explains information and suggests drafts. It does not decide results, and people remain responsible for approvals.
